Summary
Nureyev has meticulously planned everything for his plot to surprise Juno with a pet rabbit for his birthday. He’s researched for months, gathered (and hidden) all the supplies, and sent Juno on a fool’s errand while he brings the little bundle of joy home. He’s sure he’s ready for every problem or contingency.
But he’s conveniently forgotten that he’s absolutely terrible with animals.

Now it was time for Nureyev’s eyes to bulge. He jumped back an (honestly impressive) distance from the imposter, who he was realizing now was not an imposter at all, but Juno’s twin brother. His twin brother that he had met that morning. He was visiting Juno for their shared birthday and Nureyev had just put a knife to his throat.
When Ben visits the Carte Blanche for his and Juno’s birthday, he can’t help but notice that his brother’s new boyfriend is kind of a shady character. Naturally, he decides to prank him by dressing as Juno to see if he can tell them apart. Unfortunately, startling Peter Nureyev comes with some...unfortunate consequences.

Summary
“To put it simply: our engine is dead in the water. Without our engine, we have no propulsion, no electricity, and no life support.
I believe we have hit a pocket of dead space. For those of you that do not know, dead space is an area that, for some unknown reason, overloads and renders large electronic systems inert.
We have a backup generator, and between the alcohol we currently have in our possession and the small amount of reserve fuel, if we keep our doors sealed and our electricity usage low, we have around 24 hours on the oxygen converter. While it is possible to drift out of a dead space zone, we do not know how long it will take, and thus therein lies our problem. We will have to get creative, or we will die.”
~
While dealing with the aftermath of Nureyev’s betrayal, the Carte Blanche’s engine system gives out. Some handle the chaos much better than others.Nureyev is worried about Juno.

Summary
Nureyev’s been acting weird for days and Juno plans to get to the bottom of it.
Finding out your boyfriend is some sort of cat alien isn’t exactly the worst outcome, in hindsight.

Summary
“Juno!” Nureyev turned around to rush to his side and Juno growled, stopping him in his tracks.
“I mean it Nureyev! I’m fine! Get away from me. Get-“ another groan, doubled over, his face elongating, skin splitting to make way for thick, heavy fur. Nails extended to wickedly sharp claws, teeth cutting into his gums as they grew quickly, too fast to keep up with the shape of his jaw. Across the room, his newly heightened senses could hear Nureyev shuffling. Juno could only pray that it would be enough.
Don’t hurt him.
Please don’t hurt him.
And then the beast overwhelmed him.
You can’t see the full moon when you’re trapped in a Martian tomb, but that doesn’t mean you get to hide from it.

Summary
Whatever he had predicted might happen, Jon wasn't expecting to survive upon demolishing the Panopticon. He certainly wasn't expecting to be rescued.
Instead, he wakes up in an alternative universe where he's never been the Archivist, and Martin Blackwood doesn't exist.
Martin Blackwood wakes up somewhere else entirely.

Summary
He makes the mistake of looking up at Nureyev’s face. Sweat beading on his brow, hairs sticking to the side of his face where they’ve escaped his ponytail. Teeth bared, glinting, like a wild animal’s, over his full, smooth lower lip. And his eyes. Half-shut, pupils blown (familiar, supplies a little part of his brain that should really be turned off during a fight like this), staring straight into Juno’s own.
The whole effect is dangerous, striking, almost predatory, and Juno’s getting better but god, he’d be lying if he said he wasn’t still as much of a sucker for a guy who could just. Tear him to shreds.

Summary
"Who are you?" the kid demands, though the tremble in his voice undercuts it. "What do you want?"
Mag barks a laugh, already assured that he has the upper hand now. "Really? First rule of thieving, kid - know who it is you're stealing from."
The kid takes a step back. His skinny chest is heaving, and a shiv has appeared in one shaky hand that looks like he might have made it himself.
Resourceful, then. Good.

Summary
It feels foolish after all this time. A forty-year-old reflex forcing him awake every time someone down the hall flushes a toilet or coughs too loudly.
[Juno comes to terms with a decades-old trauma and Peter realizes he might possibly, perhaps, have some trust issues. At least they're trying.]

Summary
Peter meets Juno when he's still with the HCPD...and Diamond.
__
The officer holds up a plastic cup. “Water?”
Ah—the gruff voice from before. Peter knows better than to refuse. He sidles up off the floor, then shudders from his toes to his fingertips. His ribs feel like a battered marimba. He does his best to fold away the worst of the pain, crosses his legs and holds out his hand. The officer passes him the cup. Peter drinks.
“Come to play good cop, have we?” Peter asks once he’s done.
The officer plucks the empty cup out of his hand. “Pretty sure we both know that’s an oxymoron, but thanks for the vote of confidence.”
