Summary
His hands shaking, Bucky flips frantically through the first notebook to the very middle where two pages lay side by side, both wrinkled and well-worn. One side says, in childish scrawl, I AM NOT A MONSTER. The other side, with darker, harsher letters, says, THE MONSTER IS HERE TODAY. There is a series of tally marks under both sides, a record of the past months. There's 82 ragged lines under the first page. There's 99 under the second.
With a tremor shaking his arm, he takes out an ink pen and adds the hundredth mark.

Summary
Bucky thinks about how wrong it is, not that they’re both men but that they’re treating each other like canvases, painting onto each other different faces and different names and different gasps.
He thinks about the way Steve gasps, the way he used to have to gasp for air after running from bullies and Bucky would rub his back hard to calm him down, his palm hot with friction. Steve doesn’t gasp like that any more, doesn’t need Bucky’s palm flat on his back. Bucky pushes another finger inside against the first.

“Go over there,” he’ll say for no apparent reason and Steve will walk with a bemused expression towards the opposite side of the room. Bucky will look almost fiercely delighted in the power he has over Steve and he’ll point with his metal arm to a different area. “Now there.” And Steve will go.
“Pick this up,” Bucky will say, and Steve will, he’ll hold anything Bucky wants for hours, waiting patiently until Bucky decides to have him set it down again.

Or the one where Bucky doesn't remember being Bucky or the Winter Soldier but ends up a little too interested in Captain America anyway.

Told himself that he would require more than a few sweet words and a cocky grin. But thinking that while watching Bucky charm his way into a girl’s bed for the night is completely different from being on the receiving end of it.
