Summary
It’d taken a little over a month for Geralt to convince Eskel that he was okay with the idea of his mate courting a second omega—hells, he encouraged it.
Geralt tugs at the hem of his tunic, considering the jagged scar across his lower belly. He’d been about three months along, give or take. It must’ve happened near the end of winter, because Eskel could usually sniff out the change in his hormones before he noticed anything amiss, and he hadn’t mentioned anything...
Jaskier told him that he’d been poisoned. In the end, it didn’t really matter what’d happened—if the child, by some miracle, had survived the strike that’d destroyed his armor, had survived the poison the cockatrice injected in his system… it wouldn’t have survived the near-lethal levels of toxicity that’d come from the various potions he’d needed to take to purge his system and heal his gaping wound.
A couple of weeks later, his heat had been… late. And then he’d missed it altogether. And the one after that. And the one after that, too.
It didn’t take a genius to put two and two together. Geralt had finally fucked his body over beyond repair.
What need did his alpha have for a defective omega?

"Her will was read today. She left you this. Maybe it was her way of telling you to take a desk job." Eve holds out a black box, and inside it, wrapped in black paper, the bulldog figurine from M's bookshelf.
Bond opens the box, looking at it with hard eyes for a moment. "Just the opposite." A heartbeat's pause. "Thank you."--
What follows is a reimagining of the events between Skyfall and Spectre with a good dash of slow-burn 00Q.
Warnings preemptively for awkward metaphorical dancing around each other, my Q muse being stronger than my Bond muse, silly beat-to-death tropes, and my long love affair with abusing hyphenations. -
