Summary
As the door opened Tim quickly disabled another three separate electronic sensors in the doorjamb by swiping them with a device that looked a bit like a thumb drive. “Walk where I walk,” he said.
He took a big step over the doormat, eyed the floor carefully, then took a careful skipped sidestep to another mat against the right-hand wall, where he removed his shoes.
“What the hell?” whispered Jason, still standing in the open doorway.
Tim pointed up. There was a net rigged up on the ceiling. “Pressure pads under the carpet.”
“I repeat, what the hell?
After Tim completely derails Jason’s beatdown attempt by asking him for a hug, Jason’s first priority is to get this touch-starved kid more cuddles. Tim’s first priority is to avoid Dick’s traps.
Jason learns a lot about his brothers and what happened while he was away, and something about himself too.

Summary
Commander Cody is well and truly happy. Sure, there’s a war on, but he and his riduur, High General Obi-Wan Kenobi just shared the news of their marriage with the Vode and the Jedi, leading to a long-overdue party thrown in their honour.
However, a single incident between a too-young trooper and Chancellor Palpatine threatens to bring all his joy crashing down around him. As he scrambles for a plan to keep his newly-adopted niece alive in the coming campaigns, Cody stumbles across a man he thought dead and buried - along with the complicated emotion attached to him.
Forced to adapt yet again, Cody must look to the heritage that has always been denied to the Vode to protect his growing family before the web of the Sith ensnares them all.
Maybe it was time he bore the name Kote again.

Summary
When is the war going to end, she asks
When we see each other, I say.It takes just over five months, for Rex to find him.
Tatooine isn’t a place anyone ends up for good reason. No one asks where he came from, what he’s doing here, what his name is. He spends as much time alone as he can.
“Someone’s asking after you,” Annileen says, on his seventh visit to her compound, as he’s bundling his wares onto his speeder. “Mando, I think. Didn’t tell ‘em shit, but they knew a lot already.”
Obi-Wan thinks, foolishly, of Cody. This close to Huttspace, it’s still Mando armour before it’s trooper armour, the war a far off thing very few people care to know about but bounty hunters a constant.
It’s not Cody. He would have sensed Cody. Cody shot him out the sky.
