It’s only in the small hours of the morning, after all the chairs from the concert have been packed away and Thomas is finally lying in bed, that he realises it must have been Mr Green. He’s sincerely thought of killing a few times in his life – himself, his father, him – and it takes locking his door and tossing the key atop his wardrobe to keep himself from sneaking into the valet's room, only a few doors down from his own.
