It had started with quick glances. Though, at first Edric didn't know if the Guard was actually staring at him.
Hard to tell under the mask.
But the periods where the two silently faced each other for what was probably longer then appropriate, or when the Guard turned his head in his direction, were unmistakable.
Something about Edric had the Guard's attention, and everything about the Guard had his.
It seemed to be a mutual attraction, like two magnets of opposite ends being pulled towards each other.
