There’s a lot of thing Dean shouldn’t be doing.
He shouldn’t be standing half-naked just inside the door to Cas’s bedroom. He shouldn’t have taken that fourth shot. Shouldn’t have stumbled over here in a brief lapse of judgment, shouldn’t have stripped himself of his shirt and jacket to face the brief walk in the biting air of November.
He shouldn’t have had to watch Lucifer walk away, wearing his brother. He shouldn’t have had to set up this camp for wayward strangers and fuckups, he shouldn’t have sunk down into this hatred of life and all the self-loathing that came with it. He shouldn’t have killed that kid today.
And he shouldn’t have yelled at Cas.

Summary
"I told him I'd never seen a film," Hannah says, in a tone that implies mistakes were made. Dean's sitting in the car waiting for Sam to come back with the coroner's reports, and apparently Hannah and Castiel are just outside Waunau, visiting some kind of angel commune. There's five of them in a rambling Victorian house, five angels and three shelter mutts and a shared garden. None of them are going back to heaven, and Hannah doesn't sound irritated about it. Just sad. Castiel is taking a tour of the garden and the chicken coop and Hannah is sitting in the bathroom with the door locked, complaining to Dean. "He told me you were fond of something called a star war."
"Star Wars," Dean corrects, and Hannah makes a disgusted noise.

"Right," Dean says eventually, gruffly. He looks down at his shoes. "I'm not gonna tell you how to live your life, man. It's—you know, yours. Do your thing, love who you love, whatever. I can't really stop you from loving me, if that's what you've decided to do, but I don't—I can't—"
"I know," Castiel murmurs, still just smiling a little, not looking heartbroken at all. "Don't worry about it, Dean, that's all I ask."
"So we're—" Dean risks a glance up, swallowing thickly. "We're good?"
Castiel hums. "We're good."
