Summary
Three weeks later, Hen and Karen renew their wedding vows.
Three weeks later, Buck has spent twenty-one nights in Eddie’s bed and approximately nineteen of them extremely aware that Eddie’s bed might be the only place in life he ever wants to be. That he wants to fall into Eddie’s bed at the end of the day and not have to concentrate on keeping his limbs separate from Eddie’s, which seems pointless anyway since they wake up every morning curled into each other.
Three weeks later, Buck has spent approximately eighty per cent of his time berating himself for taking this long to notice that he is ass over teakettle in love with his best friend.
So now Hen and Karen are renewing their wedding vows, and Buck is—Buck is a lot of things, but he’s mostly worried about the concept of Eddie in a suit.
Buck is, after all, only one man. He’s a little worried it might be too much for him to handle.

“What did you lie about?” Buck asks. His tone is mild, edged with curiosity. He doesn’t know what’s coming.
For the space of a heartbeat, Eddie considers changing course. Considers backing out. Considers making up something inconsequential. But the lump in his throat has a mind of its own, and the words come out anyway.

Eddie snorts before he can help it. He tries to cover it up with a hasty “I mean—” but Maddie’s already laughing.
“No, me too,” she says. “I’m glad someone else agrees.”
“It’s just—” Eddie starts, and sighs. “She’s just—”
“Yeah, I know,” Maddie says. “Like—it’s not just because you’re in love with him, right?”
“I’m not—” Eddie starts, and practically hears Maddie rolling her eyes down the phone. “No,” he says. “It’s not just that.”

Buck blinks at him, then laughs so hard Eddie has to grab his arm to stop Buck from rolling off of him. "That's your issue?" he asks when he's caught his breath. "Words?"
"They're all ridiculous words," Eddie mutters. "Like, what am I supposed to say? Yeah, baby, lick my ass?" He puts on an exaggerated tone, but something in Buck's eyes darkens.
"That works," he says and kisses Eddie, slow, careful. Just the slightest movement of Buck's tongue is enough to have Eddie imagining what that tongue would feel like between his legs and he whines into Buck's mouth, his hips shifting against Buck's without much conscious input.
