Edward’s got his bag on the hook and is halfway out of his coat when he spots Sol sitting at the table. Sol sees him see the open box, the strip of that bagged air stuff hanging out of it, and sees him flush without saying anything. He lets him get his coat the rest of the way off before he nudges the box.
“Doin’ a bit of shopping, were you,” he says.
Edward drops into a chair. On the table, next to the box, Sol has laid the contents out flat. The bra thingy looks a bit silly, bunched up, and the straps on the knickers are a little tangled, but it’s clear what it is. What Edward ordered.
