Summary
Zhongli stands before the tomb at the foot of the tree. Night has already fallen, and the way the moon casts a melancholic gray light across the earth tones of his coat makes the image even more somber. The vast tree before them no longer harbors an ominous aura. Now, it only contains the tragedy of Azhdaha and Morax. If Childe looks closely, he might be able to see the way the branches of the tree droop sadly. But alas, the details of the tales of old are lost as time goes on, and the tree before them is nothing more than what it is.
Or, being immortal hurts like a bitch.

The last time they met was at Liuli Pavillion. Zhongli remembers a fleeting touch, a promise of again. Then Childe leaves on a cold, wet Sunday evening, and dies without so much as leaving a word for the dear consultant he'd left behind.
