Ask those same locals what Komore’s services entail, however, and you will surely be struck by a confusing pool of answers:“Ah, Komore Teahouse! Where sunlight leaks through wood beams, yes. They serve great tea. I visit often with my grandson for breakfast. I strongly recommend their matcha selections.”
“Komore Teahouse? Oh my, you mustn’t speak so openly of such places! Though, if you’re asking… I must recommend Heihachi’s services.”
“... You ask of Komore? My advice to you, kid, don’t get entangled in that web. Recommend you stop asking around before someone gets-“

“You’d let your people starve to keep the Yashiro Commission’s prestige,” Yae Miko states. She takes a bite off her tri-color dango. Ayato watches her squirm in delight.
Prestige means protection. Ayato does not want anything else in life.
“Do you judge me on that matter?” He asks. It is important to show that he cares about what other people think of him, Ayato supposes.
“No. I did worse for Narukami Shrine. I stood by a dictator. We killed a world serpent,” Yae Miko muses.
Ayato is not a god of some sort, so it is hard for him to relate. “That seems eventful.”
“I drown in the blood and violence every night,” Yae Miko says with a sigh. In a heartbeat, she lights up as the stall owner brings out crab roe. “Ooh, look at this, Commissioner. A new item on the menu. Care to taste?”

Summary
Ayaka wants her brother to get married to someone he loves, wants it to be guiltless, wants to quietly bear the burden of the clan's succession. Ayato, unfortunately, has the exact same plan.Her brother reaches out, and runs his thumb along Thoma’s jaw, near his ear. A smudge of mud comes off easily. Thoma’s attention follows Ayato’s hand, and Ayato doesn’t quite meet Thoma’s gaze.
Oh, Ayaka realizes.
