Summary
In this Future Fish, Haru never went to Australia, never found a dream, never thought he'd regret it until it was too late. Now he's finding his efforts increasingly ineffective at helping Makoto hold on to his own dream, after the Tachibana's death.
And we all know what desperate times call for.

Summary
Makoto and Haru received Good Fortune from the shrine, less of a coincidence than it appeared to be. When a mystical being comes to them offering them a chance to see what their future would really be like without each other--what they've been too scared to talk about since the beginning of their last year--Makoto, surprisingly, jumps at the chance. Haru can't quite understand why and Makoto knows that he needs to learn to be independent, and in the midst of the Olympics, Tokyo universities, and delirious dreams of red strings of fate, they realize they may be okay on their own, but it'll never be a future they want. Only thing is, it might be too late to go back.

Summary
And this one, this one looks about as self-conscious as Haru feels. And maybe that’s why he does it, why he crawls off the stage, takes his hand, and pulls. Haru can’t miss that look, and he wants to call it admiration. It’s different, and maybe, that’s not so bad after all.
Haru's lost, has something to prove, and Rin's found him a new job. Makoto's anxious, stuck at home, and maybe he needs something less stagnant.

Summary
"What would have happened if I kissed you that night? Instead of running away." He closes his eyes and recalls the brilliant bloom of fireworks in the distance, colours playing across Makoto's face, his mouth caught up in a snarl, brows furrowed in frustration...
"I would have kissed you back. So hard."
Haru smiles, heart clenching at the thought of what could have been. Yet, he feels safe, secure. At peace with the way things are now. "There's a universe where I kissed you."
(or: the years have changed a lot of things, but not the way Haru feels. This time, he's not letting go.)
