“And I said, ‘What about ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s?’’, you said ‘I think I remember the film,’”
Dream closed his eyes and sang even louder, letting the melody carry him away.
“‘And as I recall, I think we both kinda liked it,’ and I said, ‘Well, that’s one thing we’ve got,’”
Dream heard a noise, a quiet shifting on the other side of the door. A smile pulled at his mouth, bittersweet.

I know you’re dangerous.
These were the first words that rose to the surface of George’s mind as he stood facing the enormous swirling pool of lava surrounding the island cell. Despite the intense heat pouring through the massive room, George fought a shiver.
George visits Dream in prison, and things align.

Summary
He decided it was probably important to give some explanation as to why he was kind of affectionately holding his best friend’s hand.
“Your hand’s not that much bigger than mine.”
Perfect damage control.
Dream’s confusion settled into a different confusion entirely, and he smiled, but seemed a little suspicious.
“...Oh really, George?” Dream said, “What, you wanna measure our hands, like we’re in middle school?”

Summary
It starts as a one-off, a silly little comment. One of a long string of bets that they all can’t seem to stop making, at the cost of ridicule and embarrassment, and sometimes cash.
There must be some sort of bug, Dream thinks, some glitch in his twenty-one-year-old brain, that makes him constantly set up stakes. Up the drama. 'I dare you', 'I bet I can do this', 'I’ll do this if you do that', and there’s always a returning 'well, what do I get?'. Maybe it has to do with the visibility, the publicity that they all have now, or maybe it’s the money. Dream likes the money--likes that he can just give it out, use it as a stupid tool to do stupid things with his friends. It’s all so strange and addictive, and Dream just can’t stop.
So when the opportunity comes once again to do something stupid, Dream takes it, because of course he does.

Kei could hear Yamaguchi’s smile as he leaned towards Kei’s face, inspecting. Kei steadfastly looked forward, choosing that moment to adjust his glasses with his hand in front of his face.
“You’re blushing.”
“No.”
“Yes you are. I see it.”
“Shut up, Yamaguchi.”

Summary
“The hell are you doing?” Keith grumbles out, body mid-push up. There’s a snicker behind him, too close to his ears, though Keith can’t really understand what would be so amusing about this. Then again, he’s not really sure why Lance is lying on him while he’s doing push ups either. Other than to be, of course, annoying.
“Nothing.” Lance finally says. Keith hears the grin in his voice, which only proves to irritate him a little more. ‘Nothing’ his ass. “Continue with what you’re doing, Mr. ‘I’m-Too-Good-For-Socialization’.”
(Lance, as always, tries to annoy Keith by making his exercise harder. It doesn’t work. At all.)

“Seriously,” Lance says, “I really do hope I grow more. Otherwise I’ll just have freakishly large hands. Though I guess that’s not necessarily a bad thing.” He waggles his eyebrows, smirks. “Cause you know what they say about a guy with big hands.”
Keith gives him a dead stare.
“Big ego,” he says flatly.
In which Keith gains a fingerless-glove best bud, a pun-loving little sister, and a goofy ninja sharpshooter boyfriend, all in the span of twenty-four hours.

“It’s … Your show is on so late at night,” Keith tries to explain, as if Lance didn’t know this already. “I guess I was just wondering why that is.”
A crackling silence answers him, and Keith’s stomach sinks. Did Lance hang up? Keith can’t exactly blame him.
But then he hears Lance make a noise––a short huff of breath that might have been either an impatient sigh or a quiet laugh … Keith has no clue.
“That’s the reason you’re calling? To complain about my time slot?”
or, Keith starts anonymously calling Lance's college radio show and develops an unexpected crush.

Summary
“I meant, you and Keith should join us. Make it a double date!”
And. Oh. Oh fuck no. It’s one thing for Lance to have lied about his non-existent romantic relationship with Keith, which was a mess he was going to have to clean up somehow, but quite another to fake said relationship in front of Hunk and Allura, both incredibly perceptive. Lance had only lied because he didn’t think he’d actually have to pretend to be dating Keith, because he’d figured he’d make up some bullshit excuse later, like they broke up or something, and no one would be the wiser. But this? This complicates things.
Or,
Lance just wants to be a good friend, but that apparently includes having to pretend to date Keith, and let's just say, things kinda spiral from there.
