But this version of the truth—hot and swooping in his belly—he hadn’t spoken, yet, not even within himself: thinking about Oh-aew’s body, his body close to Teh’s. Into the receiver he said, now, “You’re so hot. You turn me on, I’m sorry, God, is that okay? Can I, is it okay for me to say—”
“Yes,” came Oh-aew’s voice, quiet, then a breathy: “It’s okay.”

“I’ve got a new role lined up.” says Teh one evening, at their dinner table, and Oh-Aew looks up from his plate with a surprised face, because he definitely didn’t expect to hear such good news without any type of warning.
“Really? That’s great, Teh!” he asks, suddenly full of excitement, but his boyfriend’s strained smile soon puts a stop to his enthusiasm.
“Yes, but… It’s not my usual type of role.” confesses Teh, his hand scratching the back of his neck, and Oh-Aew wonders what is making him so twitchy all of a sudden.
(Teh needs to put up some muscles for his next drama. Oh-Aew suffers a bit because of it, but not for long.)

Jerking in surprise, Teh looked up towards the bedroom’s door, where Oh-Aew was standing in the semi-darkness that had slowly engulfed the whole apartment while Teh had been busy unpacking. He looked quite beautiful in his business suit, his hair carefully styled and without a single drop of rain on them, a sign that he must have been blessed by the turn of the weather before getting home. His sight was refreshing just like always, a fresh glass of water in an otherwise dry life, but his face was blank and his eyes were staring straight at Teh’s face, ignoring the piece of underwear inside his hand.
(Teh and Oh-Aew change apartments, and Teh finds something unexpected in the moving boxes.)
