Summary
Usually, Slade's a mercenary. He's got the ship and the crew for it, and enough of a reputation to make sure more than enough jobs come his way to keep it all running. He doesn't tend to resort to pirating, but salvage is salvage, and there's no sense passing up free profit when the opportunity arises.
If that profit happens to include a sole survivor in the form of an uptight, good little Imperial soldier, well... Opportunities come in all shapes and sizes, and Slade's very practiced at taking advantage of them.

What he is expecting is to spend his oncoming heat alone, like he always does, since there's not a decent alpha in the world willing to risk the big bad Bat's anger enough to sleep with him. Lucky for him, though, Slade is there to prove him wrong on both accounts. That is, if Jason's willing, anyway.

Summary
At age sixteen, Dick Grayson was kidnapped and turned into Talon by the Court of Owls, losing his memory in the process. Once the Court is destroyed by Batman the new Talon is cut loose, only to form an unexpected bond with the second Robin, Jason Todd, that endures even past his death and resurrection.
(In terms of reading order, I recommend starting with 'Forsaken Sons' and reading forwards some before going back to the pieces that precede it chronologically, as that was the first fic in the series I wrote. Enjoy!)

Dante figures this should be pretty easy, since he's beat the guy once already--except it's not, because why would it be, nothing in his life has ever been easy. Between Vergil's unstable mental state and their mutual refusal to have a proper conversation, it's going to be a miracle if they even survive long enough to confront the king of hell.)

After their return from the demon world, Vergil moves in at Devil May Cry, and Dante is overjoyed. However hard it was before, that doesn't matter, now that he has his brother back. He'll even admit to himself, if not to Vergil, that he's giddy in love like a schoolgirl.
When Vergil is around, that is. Whenever he leaves, Dante falls apart.

He measures change in runs through his father's domain, how many rooms ransacked, how much obol collected, how far he gets from the darkness of Tartarus's depths, through the heat of Asphodel and the cool breeze of Elysium. He measures time in the quickness of his blade. The slice of his spear. The deaths.
Gods don't need to eat. Zagreus still hungers.

In the grand scheme of things, seeing Roy cheerfully walk out the door wasn’t that painful. It didn’t hurt as much as dying. It didn’t hurt as much as coming back. Still, Jason didn’t actually like pain, and he knew if he gently demurred the next time, Roy would hear him. It was the smart thing to do, and that was why he already knew he would never, ever do it.
Roy shifted in his sleep, pressing closer to Jason, his strong arm slung heavy over Jason’s waist, his chest a furnace against Jason’s back. This was a bad idea. It had always been a bad idea, and it would be an even worse one in the morning.
But for now, Jason was warm.
