Summary
Mobius is keen to get to know Loki---and maybe recruit him.
Mobius would follow his hunch like he had all his others---amiably strolling in the direction it led him, assessing the risks and benefits as he approached its terminus, improvising as needed, until the problem was solved.
There was no reason this time should be any different. -

Mycroft has a problem. After a drunken New Year's Eve at Baker Street gets out of hand, this preoccupation with Greg Lestrade doesn't seem to be going away. He makes Greg an irresistible offer: seven days alone together in paradise, to be with each other and exhaust the craving.
Sadly for Mycroft, Greg comes with irresistible offers of his own—and seven days in paradise might not be enough.

Summary
This story takes place in an AU in which no accident has happened. Valery and Boris are being sent to Chernobyl by Gorbachev in order to inspect the power plant’s design and how it is managed. After their first meeting in the Kremlin (which goes about the same as in the show), they find themselves on board of a helicopter heading to Pripyat’. A similar argument regarding the course of the helicopter ensues and Valery ends up tumbling in quite a similar way toward Boris. Also in this AU, no soldiers are accompanying them and Valery is wearing his light blue suit.

“Had to be cheap, Valera?”
“I prefer thrifty,” Valery huffed.
“Explains your suits.” Boris looked up, smiling so Valery would know it was in jest.

Valery, having survived Chernobyl and fled a crumbling USSR, is content to live out his days quietly and anonymously until an old friend finds him, forcing him to contemplate how they both lived through it. Boris searches for meaning beyond Valery’s abysmal taste in furniture.
