“I’ve been thinking,” Kara said again, “about…” Kara paused and looked up at the ceiling.
Alex’s hand slipped from Kara’s cheek around to the nape of her neck. Her thumb rested lightly in the hollow of Kara’s throat. “About…” she encouraged, stroking Kara’s throat affectionately.
Kara shuddered slightly as she lowered her gaze to meet Alex’s. “About kissing you,” she whispered.

Summary
They sat there like that for several minutes, shoulders and hips pressed together as an old black and white movie played on tv. Kara’s thumb brushed rhythmically back and forth over Alex’s first knuckle, occasionally sweeping down and stroking the skin between her thumb and forefinger. She could feel Alex slowly relaxing against her until finally, finally, Alex’s head settled softly on her shoulder.
Alex is stubborn when an old injury flares up, but luckily Kara is there to help take care of her.

Kara floated for several minutes, gazing at the stars and ducking two satellites that came near her. She started to feel a slight sting of pain in her chest 12 minutes and 46 seconds after she’d taken her last breath (Alex told her that was normal, that humans felt that distress too when their bodies began to crave oxygen. Kara didn’t tell Alex that it was her heart, not her lungs, that felt the strain when she looked out at the stars).

"Life happens and things change, but it seems like some feelings stay the same. After ten years, Wanda finally comes back to her hometown to spend the holidays with her family, what also means seeing you again. What will come out of this encounter?"
This story is based on the narrative develop on the songs "dorothea" and "tis the damn season" by Taylor Swift. It's not exactly the same, though. But I made some references to both songs so let me know if you got any =)
