Summary
One of the more timid-looking posts, in pale greens and creams and yellows, says Hello, I'm managing to be fairly high functioning right now but I'm really not doing as well as it may appear, and Lan Zhan feels as if someone sneaked into his mind and read his most secret thoughts, the ones he's never even dared to admit to himself.

His fingers are still clasped between Wangji's. In the mirror Wangji watches him tuck his coat between his thighs so that he can fuss with the tucked-in hem of his shirt, tousle up the side of his hair, all one-handed. "I hope what I'm wearing is okay."
"It's good," Wangji says. "You look good."
"I guess I must," Wei Ying says, and then he smiles and bites his teeth into his bottom lip for a second, devastatingly, and before Wangji can drop dead the doors to the elevator slide open, and the hostess station appears.

"Who can I go to for the sake of righting the Jin sect’s wrongs, Senior Lan? There’s no one, and that’s why I fled to the Burial Mounds.”
“All the same,” Lan Qiren says, looking around at the dank cave and then at the child nodding towards sleep in Wei Wuxian’s lap, “you can hardly stay here, Wei Wuxian. I saw that your people were trying to farm on the slope behind the forest, but I doubt their efforts will bear fruit. What will you eat?”
“When people are hungry enough,” Wei Wuxian says distantly, “they will eat anything.”
__After Wei Wuxian's flight from the camp at Qiongqi Dao, Lan Qiren visits the Burial Mounds and discovers that he has bigger problems than his nephew's broken heart.
Naturally, this changes things.

Lan Wangji is present at Koi Tower after Jin Zixuan’s death, when a siege is called upon the Burial Mounds.
Lan Wangji is there to hear Nie Mingjue give his assent—to Jin Guangyao’s wide-eyed, trembling approval, and Lan Xichen’s distress—and see Jiang Wanyin reply not in words, exactly, but with a jerky movement of his chin that seems to be agreement.
Lan Wangji is there, too, when Jin Guangshan calls upon his clan to destroy his only beloved.
