Summary
The first time Nicky meets Erik Klose, Erik pads into the kitchen, takes one look at him, and freezes.
Nicky’s first thought is that Erik looks exactly like one of those boys you’d take home to meet your mom. Clean face. Tall, but not lanky. Some stubborn baby fat still sticks to his cheeks.
His second thought is that only a boy like Erik would wear a t-shirt two sizes too big that says, I bee-lieve in you! across it in big, blocky letters. A cartoon bee spirals toward his armpit.
“Ähm,” Erik says, and stops there.

Summary
“What is this?” he asked, and the Old Guy sighed and said heavily:
“That’s the Immortals.”
Don frowned. “Well, if they are immortal, they shouldn’t be causing a lot of work, now, should they?”
The Old Guy laughed hollowly. “Just wait a few years,” he said, and pulled the door shut behind him. “You’ll see.”
