    Summary

The troubadour is a lanky young man with lustrous, shoulder-length blond curls, a long, thin nose, and cornflower blue eyes. He’s wearing a satin maroon doublet and a matching hat with an enormous peacock feather waving in the air. He looks nothing like their dark-haired, broad-shouldered lover, but it’s unmistakably Jaskier’s lovely, rich singing voice coming out of his mouth. And in his hands—

“That’s Jaskier’s lute,” Geralt says quietly.

When Jaskier disappears to take care of some mysterious “business,” Geralt and Yennefer are concerned that their lover has gotten himself into trouble. When they track him down in Beauclaire, it turns out that Jaskier has a secret identity, a glamoured ring that disguises him as a pretty bard named Dandelion. Yennefer has ideas about how to take advantage of the glamour.

    Summary

Witchers don’t have soulmates. That’s been true for as long as Geralt’s been alive, a necessary sacrifice for a life spent on the Path. There’s no place for the attachments that humans define themselves by.

It may not be worth it to Geralt, but love has always been the single most motivating force in the world for Jaskier. Unrequited or not, he’s a bard, and there’s a story to be told. He’ll be the one to tell it.

(Who’s the more tragic figure here? The loved or the unloving?)

Jaskier and Geralt are soulmates, bound by the Red String of Fate. But just because it's written in the stars doesn't mean it's an easy path to tread, and it takes more than a nudge from fate to make a soul-bond work. Between the way Geralt feels about destiny, and the trials and tribulations of the path they have to trudge, it's going to be one hell of an adventure.

    Summary

For all that destiny is a crock of horseshit, it's also extremely invested in making sure Geralt does things right the first time around. And if he can’t, well—it’ll make him try again until he does.

Or: most people would give anything for a second chance, if asked. Nobody asked Geralt, but he didn’t even want the first one.

    Summary

They say of the seal-maidens that they are beautiful beyond compare, that any man might fall in love and take one to wife. The songs say, to keep a selkie bound to hearth and home and away from the sea, you must find them on a full moon, when they have shed their sealskin cloaks, and hide it as deeply as you can.
The songs also say, of course, that a selkie without the sea is as like to live as a human without a heart, and that without their skins they will pine away for want of the ocean.
    Not many seem to care.
