  2. Summary

Once upon a time, Tanista started writing an AU for classic MacGyver, Domestic Adventures. In which there's more women and Mac looks after his niece Becky, while keeping up with his secret agent globe-trotting; it's a nice cheerful affair.

Once upon another time, yours truly had the idea of writing a dark, angst-ridden, poverty-stricken coffee shop AU (for larks, to see if it could be done). One which retained Becky, but kept MacGyver trapped in his hometown with no way out...

Mission City, Minnesota. Three-way love triangles, a lot of careful minutiae about show continuity. And a rather good bit with a chicken.

  3. Summary

In the canon of the classic series, MacGyver was an only child and, apart from his grandfather Harry, had no living members of his family left. But what if there was an older sister, one that had moved away from Minnesota to attend college in the West, got married, and had two kids? This is what life might've been like for Mac if he became legal guardian to his teenage niece, Rebecca Ellen (Becky) Grahme, after she loses her parents and older brother in a car accident. No matter what the challenges and adventures are, good or bad, as family Mac and Becky face them together.

  4. Summary

A fusion of the series "Domestic Adventures" by Tanista with "Ecstasy in Cosmogone" by deepandlovelydark.

MacGyver has disappeared during a mission, and is presumed dead. His niece Becky believes otherwise, and is determined to find him. Even if she has to go to the ends of the earth.

Or maybe a bit further below that.

Huh, and I thought I was the only person who wrote Jack angst.

"The God of Jack O'Neill is invisible and empty, and darkness is over the abyss, and the stars are in darkness."

If Google Translate can pump out a line like that, I'd love to know just what this beauty would have sounded like in the original Russian...

    Bookmarker's Notes

It's a novel about a struggling '80s con artist trying to help save the world from a hideous demon that's trying to mess his brother up but good.

So, just the kind of thing I'd call light entertainment.

Murdoc has amnesia. Mac doesn't. This puts their relationship in rather a different light.

Also, it's the whumpiest MacGyver fic I've ever seen (and considering what mine are like, that's saying rather a lot). A whole novel's worth.

It's dark, and incredibly well-done, and probably the best Mac/Murdoc story anyone's ever written.
