Grimmjow is always sharp and spoiling for a fight, he’s like a knife except without any kind of hilt, all blade, and Ichigo is grabbing him the wrong way all the time. But this is different, he’s pretty sure.

“They said you were dead,” is what he manages instead of any kind of real answer, wheezing it out. The sheer impossibility of Grimmjow Jaegerjaques standing in front of him is a big thing, it balloons outwards and takes up all the air in the room.

Summary
Finrod is wise, he is the Hewer of Caves, he has walked among Men and learned of their ways, more so than any of his kin except perhaps his eldest cousin in chill Himring. He built this realm as a haven for his people, to keep them safe against the ever-growing dark, and he has bled for them.
He knows now with cold certainty that he will bleed for them again. Finrod knows the snake that lurks in the grass, but he is not so cruel as to kill it when it is simply doing what it must to survive.

Summary
The Halls of Mandos are not for song, but for whispers, and yet a bright voice rings out like a bell all the same, a thunderclap in the darkest corners, those that dare encroach on the Void itself. Death is a circle, and should his world not reflect that?
The song is one of treachery, of trust afterwards, of broken bonds reforged, and it ripples through the air in a single clear note, until-

How Finrod Felagund went to his fate, how he battled with Sauron and fell, and how Luthien came and did what he could not.
This is an English translation, presented side by side with Russian and transliterated lyrics of the Finrod Zong musical created by the creative organization Temple. Finrod Zong was written in 2001 by Larisa Bocharova (Laura) and Lina Vorobyova (Iovin). This translation was written for English speakers who want to enjoy the songs on Youtube video (or indeed the live shows which are still run by Tample.ru ).
Because this work is by its nature presented in three parallel columns, it may be hard to read on smaller phone screens.
