“What?” Touya was struggling to understand what had just transpired within the last two minutes, mind reeling from the sudden change of atmosphere and the fact that he’d just watched his consort murder someone.
When Touya was informed of his betrothal to a harpy from the court of some backwater country, it was a clear sign that his father no longer favored him as to inherit the throne. That was about as bad as it could get, as the crown prince. At least, that's what he thought.

There was a long, long pause after he said that. Kyo was pretty sure even Sukaka looked up from her desk to stare at Hawks, whose face was fascinating to watch crumple as he slowly realized what he’d said.
“Oh my god,” he muttered. “I said that out loud, didn’t I?”
“Holy shit, boss,” Osa said blankly, eyes wide in shock.
