Summary
“You need to show Ms. Weaver that you’re in charge now, that she doesn’t have anymore control over your life,” Glimmer tells her, and then gets that look in her eye that makes Adora realize she’s planning something that they might either be able to pull off, or will completely blow up in their faces. “Do you want to know what I’d do?”
Because Glimmer seems to be going somewhere with this, and because Adora doesn’t really seem to have a better idea at the moment, she nods. “Okay, sure.”
“I’d bring home my mother’s worst nightmare,” she grins. “And I have the perfect candidate in mind.”
(or, Catra, Adora, and a fake relationship. Featuring letterman jackets, basketball, and a lot of snow.)

Hijinks ensue.

Summary
When Toni’s done making the Frappuccino, she pauses, marker hovering above the plastic cup. Is she really about to write down something flirty on the coffee cup of the gorgeous redhead who’s honestly done nothing but annoy her? Isn’t that a little too cliche?
(Or, Toni accidentally starts a full blown nickname war with the beautiful redhead who’s probably way too audacious for her own good, and
accidentallyfalls in love with her.)

“What’s the last thing you remember?”
Catra stares at her with narrowed eyes. She isn’t sure she can trust her, or anything, at this point. At the same time, though, she feels like she doesn’t have any other options. The Fright Zone is conquered. She has nowhere to go. “... Activating the Portal. And then I woke up here.”
Adora sucks in a quick breath. Catra’s eyes dart over to her—she looks like she’s about to be sick, white-knuckled and pale.
Scorpia’s brows knit together. “Catra, that happened over five years ago.”
...
Catra loses her memory. She struggles to find her place in an unfamiliar world, somewhere between hating Adora and loving her.

Summary
Adora dances through the strands of time programmed into the system. The first week, she jumps forward just a year or two — 2042, 2043, just before the breakup, back when they were still happy. In 2051, she sports the short, choppy haircut that was popular at the time. In 2066, it’s long, and dyed at the tips. She’s twenty two, over and over and over again, each weekend spent experiencing that age right on the cusp of adulthood as she weaves in and out of time periods, searching for Catra.
In the summer of 2044, she wanders past a sports bar and sees her own face, sweaty and breathless in an interview. Adora remembers this video — it was taken just before she received her first Olympic gold.
Adora keeps walking. There’s no way Catra would choose to be here.

Summary
“Let’s make a bet.”
Catra straightened, ears perking up. She liked bets. She liked winning them.
“If we win the game tonight, you’ll go to the dance with me tomorrow.”
Laughter ripped from Catra’s throat. She tossed her head back, fangs bared in open-mouthed giggles. “Wow, you really don’t want to go with me. The Rebels kick our asses every year.”
“That’s not true!” Indignation sparked and died in Adora’s blue eyes. “Well, we almost had them last year.”
“Almost isn’t winning, Adora. Besides, if we don't win,” asked Catra, shuffling to fit her arms into the sleeves of Adora’s letterman as discreetly as possible, “what’s in it for me?”
Adora blinked. “What do you want?”
You.
Not that she was stupid enough to say that.

Summary
Adora is staring out into the distance, looking up at the sun, her eyes wide and guileless. Everything about Adora is guileless. She is as easy to read as a cloudless sky. Of course, they didn’t have cloudless skies, back in the Fright Zone.
Adora has never faked anything in her life. Catra, a practiced liar, can’t parse exactly how, though they grew up in the same place, Adora became what she is: a hero, even without the sword.
