I’ve seen so many people write fics like these, and I was kind of excited by the idea. This trope seemed really fun and had a lot of potential, but boy people really don’t lie when they call it cliché. So, I intend to write a fic that is not insufferable, with actual emotions, character arcs, relationships, and overall just do the best I can to subvert this terribly executed trope. There is a non-self-insert OC scientist who is only there to fix the plotholes of this trope.
This project has been abandoned. I just lost all motivation for this sort of cliche plot, as well as writing these characters. Gbye.

Crying woke Alexander up. It was loud and it made his headache worse, why wasn't Lin or Vanessa stopping it? Sighing, Alexander stood up and made his way to Sebastian's room where the toddler was screaming.
"Are you okay?" He asked aloud but there was no answer except for screaming. Groaning quietly to himself, he picked up the child and was immediately relieved when Sebastian stopped crying. "There ya go. Just needed a hug, huh?"
Unknown to the two boys, Vanessa was staring into the room from the hallway. A large smile on her face.
