"That was the flashiest disappearing act I ever seen." Barnes nudged Frank with his elbow and Frank just huffed out something akin to a chuckle.

"What am I supposed to wear?" Steve whined for (possibly, Sam wasn't really keeping track) the fifth time. His eyes scanned every mannequin that they'd seen in shop windows, and despite Sam's nudges, Steve refused to step foot in any of the stores thus far. They just 'weren't his style'.
According to Stark, Steve didn't have style... and Sam sort of agreed. If Steve wasn't wearing too tight, Under Armour shirts, then he dressed like everyone's grandfather.
"Why don't we go into any store and ask a nice lady what she'd like to see you in, hmm?" Sam tried to keep the patronizing tone of voice away but he just couldn't. He winced at the sound of the words: he sounded like his sister...
//Steve has to get new shirts to wear at Natasha's birthday party. Sam helps him look.

Summary
When their attempts to recreate the super soldier serum failed, Hydra started trying to breed Captain America clones from his genetic samples. Unfortunately, the serum's effects aren't passed down genetically, so instead of an army of tiny Captain Americas, they get a bunch of tow-headed, asthmatic, allergic, immuno-compromised little Steves.
And then the Winter Soldier stumbles across Hydra's failed experiment...
