Even the most strong-minded of witches would hesitate to wear a Borrowed body for too long, lest their way of thinking be permanently changed by the new perspective.

But of course, gods are different.

Even in their old age, Hazel and Daisy just can't seem to escape being in the right place at the right time to solve a murder mystery. And neither of them would have it any other way. Detective Society quite literally Forever!
    _____

Spoilers? I hope not - I've read all current available canon as of December 2016, including Mistletoe and Murder, but references to previous cases should be oblique and non-spoilery. The only exception to this is - if I've done my job well - some of the nuance of the Hazel/Daisy relationship. As this is future!fic, the majority of what I've written is imagined, but it would be hard not to be a little influenced by how things have played out in the books thus far.

    Summary

I relayed the information I’d so masterfully committed to memory in my youth, re: the prophet Elijah being taken up to heaven while still alive and in full possession of his faculties. I’d won a prize for Scripture-knowledge and so had details of this sort at my fingertips.

“Although,” I said, as we neared what I took to be the stratosphere, or some kind of sphere at any rate, “just now my resemblance to the prophet Elijah escapes me.”
