Summary
All it takes to change what could have been, is one single chance.
In some worlds, Shez joins up with a mercenary group only to move from one to another as each group died out, always moving until he eventually joins Berling's Mercenaries. He faces the Ashen Demon, loses his friends, and swears revenge.
This is not that world.
During their return from Sauin Village, Jeralt and his company comes across a young child as they moved from Gloucester to Ordelia territory on their way to the Airmid river.
A chance is given and is taken with open arms.
And it change everything that could have been.
Premise: Basically, what if instead of moving from mercenary group to mercenary group when he left his village, Shez instead got taken in by Jeralt on his way back from Sauin and joined Jeralt’s Mercenaries.
