Summary
Young nephilims do have bedtimes stories, and so do shadowhunters’ children.
And like all stories it has a moral each young shadowhunter should learn well. Essentially this tragic story shows what happens when shadowhunters let their emotions cloud their judgment, and follow their heart instead of their head.
Not that any of that is something ever discussed with downworlders. After all who’d care about bedtime stories told to children, especially those filled with Clave’s approved propaganda?
Or that time in which Izzy comments to Magnus about him and Alec exchanging hickeys as a symbol of love, and she finally tell Magnus the whole story the gesture comes from.
Because of course Alec skipped on some pretty important details...

Summary
All it takes is one little difference to change many things, and when James T. Kirk was born on a shuttle fleeing a tragedy of catastrophic proportions, well, there was one thing not quite...typical about him. A tale of family, love, understanding, Ghirardelli mint chocolates, and clogged vacuums.

Summary
Hodge had been the first one to consider that since none of the Lightwood children would ever have the chance to a normal upbringing, leaving for the academy yound and finish their education touring Institutes.
If they had to pay the same price as Hodge himself, of being confined to New York, unable to leave, with the restriction placed on himself and their parents, then it only made sense that the kids should have practical training learning their territory.
If Hodge had intentionally chosen a mundane holiday like the last day of October to place it, well no one who saw was ever willing to comment on the coincidence.
