Summary
There was a strange man sitting at the end of the counter. Patrick tried not to stare, but it was hard not to. They didn’t get too many new faces around here, and if they did, it was brief. Schitt’s Creek wasn’t the usual stop for travelers moving west.
It had to be David Rose, the newest remittance man to come to town. There were rumors that he was from New York City and had been sent to their humble town in Alberta after a series of his antics left his family in a web of shame and he was sent north and west to settle down.

Set in Alberta, Canada in 1867ish. The Western AU that no one asked for, but I wrote anyways.

Summary
David wakes up in pain. It's...not a great experience for anyone.
Title is from Thanks by W.S. Merwin, which is a thematically applicable poem I think.

Summary
“Thanks for… checking in.”
“Of course,” Patrick replies as he pulls away from the curb, but his expression softens. “What are business partners for?”
David scrunches his nose and pops another candy in his mouth. “I don’t think it’s cleaning up after non-work-related, near-emotional breakdowns.”
“Well, we’ve been approved, but the grant money hasn’t come through yet, so… we’re technically not business partners,” he murmurs with a crooked smile. “Let’s just say it’s one friend looking out for another.”
Or, what if Patrick had been in 'Sebastien Raine'?Bookmarked by bittersweet_art

Summary
The thing is, historically speaking, Patrick hasn’t been the best judge of his own happiness. If Aidan has a few reservations, he thinks that’s understandable.
