Lan Xichen is on his last year of scholarship in England and Jiang Cheng is stuck back in China in his second year of university. Calling and texting whenever they can is the most they are able to do until Jiang Cheng remembers the leftover spool of red thread he bought as a corny joke. He remembers the old shirt he swiped off his boyfriend's luggage before he returned to the UK for school again. With itchy hands and a bored mind, he starts making a surprise from scratch.
Jiang Cheng attempts the impossible distance by taking matters into his own hands, and eventually, transversing that distance himself.
