Summary
After the catastrophic events of Guanyin temple, there are good days and there are bad days.
On good days Jiang Cheng can go about his duties as normal, training his disciples and protecting his sect and it's people from those who would do them harm.
On bad days he wouldn't be able to get out of bed, staring hollowly at the ceiling in a way that reminded him too much of the period of time between waking up only to feel nothing in place of his golden core, confirming that his time in the hands of Wen Chao and his lackeys was not a dream- and the swell of hope when Wei Wuxian told him about a way to develop a new core.
On his bad days, his head disciple, Jiang Zhen, would assume the duties of the sect leader until he was well enough to return and the rest of his sect would pray endlessly for their beloved sect leader to heal.
Or when Jiang Cheng doesn't realize how badly he's doing until he's carted off to Cloud Recesses and finds healing alongside Lan Xichen who's not doing so hot either.

Summary
