Xie Lian can't stop thinking about how Hua Cheng's younger/past forms never got any closure or the thanks and praise they deserved from Dianxia, and it haunts Xie Lian.
Hua Cheng is a good husband and wants to help Xie Lian heal, and if that means allowing Xie Lian to see people from his past, then he would do it.

In other words, Hua Cheng only wants to help Xie Lian, and Xia Lian loves his husband very much, no matter what form he is in.
