Summary
On an early Saturday afternoon, Kageyama Tobio was not dressed in his typical volleyball gear. Gone were the cutesy setter t-shirts and dangerously short volleyball shorts. Now, his precious kouhai was dressed from head to toe in a typical Omega outfit. Specifically, the type of outfit worn for courting dates. In all his 5′10 glory, Kageyama Tobio wore a low-cut, tight, white, lace blouse that exposed his slender stomach, delicate collarbones, and most importantly, his unmarked neck. Over the tight, lace blouse, the Omega wore a cream-colored silk button-down shirt. His small waist was accentuated by a smooth, brown belt and tight, white dress pants hugged his wide hips and strong thighs. He even had on white, leather flats. Kageyama Tobio looked like a groom.
What the fuck. -

Summary
“Do you want anything else, love? Use your words, okay?”
Tobio flushes deeper, and his beautiful pale skin looks stunning blotched with red. Tooru wants to suck a love bite on his neck but refrains. He much prefers leaving hickeys in spots only Tobio can see. A reminder of sorts.
“Can, can we, please, face the mirror.”

Summary
One of his earliest memories or, rather, the earliest one he had was of Miwa. Doing the mental math, she might have been twelve, and he must have been about four. In his four-year-old understanding of the world, Miwa was like his guardian spirit. She always held his hand and always smiled down at him with her blunt bangs and hair tied into perfect pigtails. To him, Miwa was otherworldly. Whenever she was with him, Tobio knew he was safe, and the promise of volleyball was there.
or Over the weekend, Kageyama Tobio reflects on his relationship with Miwa through ramen, rewatching Karasuno's match against Shiratorizawa, and an impromptu volleyball match.

Summary
The ball rolls gently on the ground, all the way to Tobio’s feet. He bends down to pick it up, and something in his blood sizzles like lightning. He looks at the leathery surface, then at his sister’s wild smile and neat hair; looks back at the court and the net, where the boys are running a spiking practice. Everyone else seems focused on the attackers, but Tobio’s eyes are zeroed on the one tossing. Set, connect, spike. Bang-bang-bang.
No one wins without the setter.
Tobio tosses the ball to Miwa and says, “Again.”
Or, Kageyama Tobio grows up, older, and not that much wiser at all. Featuring brothers and sisters, anger, connection, and that moment when someone finally catches up with you.

Bookmarker's Notes
“Head to ball, Kageyama decides not to pray. Instead, he reminds his grandfather not of nationals games, or finals, or games where people flew and made monsters of themselves. He tells him about that all the time. That for the years he spent at Karasuno High School, a crow, he was also once a little falcon, botching serves on purpose in the fear of a game that would end too soon.
Do you remember that day?
Why, of course I remember that day, Tobio. What about it?
Kageyama throws the ball into the air. When he jumps and makes relentless contact, he hopes his grandfather feels it, somewhere — not as a prayer, but an assurance.
I just wanted to tell you that I don't botch serves anymore.“
THIS!!!!??????? SO RAW. My heartstrings were tugged. Just so beautiful. An ode to Kageyama, a boy who has his own language.

Summary
“Blessed Spirit, we thank you for the gift of this child’s life. We are forever in your debt.” The whole village is kneeling now, even the tiniest toddlers flopped down on their stomachs doing their best approximation of a bow. “Please, won’t you give us a name to call you? We would like to properly express our gratitude.”
Oh.
Well shit.
(Where Zuko saves a little Earth Kingdom girl from drowning, the villagers think he's a Spirit, build him a shrine, and long story short, a fake story about the Blue Spirit who dances with dragons suddenly becomes very real.)
