Summary
Jake Peralta knew this case would be his big break. All he had to do was enter a mob, gain the trust of a high ranking member, and get back to his apartment before it attracted rats. Easy, right? However, he didn't exactly account for the millions of things that could go wrong in his time undercover. Sure, Jake could have predicted ending up on the receiving end of far too many punches, finding an unlikely father figure, and crying more than he wanted to, but he could never predict Amy Santiago. He could never predict the relentless teasing, the endless secrets, or the hard times he would go through with her at his side. And he certainly could never predict falling in love.
