  2. Summary

The mundane lives and crimes of DS Winter of Midsomer Constabulary and DI Hathaway of Oxfordshire Police - in reality both about half of the area covered by Thames Valley Police, both shot in and around and near areas I live now, I studied and worked, and grew up and have family still living in - so expect a smorgasbord of descriptions and geographical asides. A happy little vaguely alphabetical series of shorts of various crimes and days off both of our intrepid and wonderful detectives get up to. Everything will be thrown into the pots, all except murder or shipping (although I might bend a little to manslaughter and flirting lol). At some points there will be crossovers, I promise, where Jamie and James will meet.

Basically a Slice of Life for the boys, which they both feel, for different reasons, to be rather sad and lonely, and a mental escape from shielding, housebound due to ill health, me to remind myself of Outside, because outside for me was a 20 min bus ride to Causton (well, its main location) and a 15 minute train ride to Oxford once upon a time, where in reality the murder rate is not so high...

Need to re-read more critically when not so brain foggy - utilitarianism and Kantian ethics...

    Summary

As a 12-year-old watching the series debut of Star Trek in 1966, I wished I could have lived on the Enterprise and had Captain Kirk as my father. Wishes soon turned into stories, first in my head and then on paper. Years later, as a published author of kids and young adult novels, I have refined my writing skills and brought my childhood vision out of hiding. Here is my idea of a family-friendly alternate Star Trek original series universe. Hope you enjoy it!

    Summary

Jamie pulled his phone from his pocket and unlocked it. “Mate, it’s... I’m...” he sighed and put his phone in front of Malcolm. “When you feel better, call this number, yeah? They helped me. They’ll help you too.”

After meeting a young blind adult who looks suspiciously like him, Malcolm’s past gets dragged up again, including parts he thought he’d left behind, parts he was sure he’d left behind.
