Summary
"Suddenly, it was all too much. This baby in front of him, in a house that wasn’t his home. The baby that he’d just fucking bottle-fed. And the crib that was currently sitting in the Gallaghers’ storage unit, waiting to be used.
Mickey stood, shaken. He made his way out of the room, trying to shove his attention back to what he came here for. The baby watched him until he was out of view.
“Fuckin’ creeper.” He gingerly opened the hall closet, afraid of boxes falling and crushing him. Instead, it was surprisingly organized. He found The Black Album after going through three boxes, wrapping it into his denim vest, and getting up to leave.
Passing by the bedroom again, Mickey’s eyes involuntarily flickered to the car seat. 'Little shit’s gonna be fine,' he told himself, hurrying down the stairs and out the door."Just as Ian prophesized, Mickey finds a neglected Milkovich baby crawling around his family tree somewhere.

“Well, well, well…” Lip clicks his tongue and sets the stroller against the wall. “Everything alright, Mick? You look a little long in the face-”
“Can it, Phillip.” Mickey grunts as he stands. “You know everything’s not alright. Why else would I be here?”
Tami slides into the room as if on cue, cooing at her son and scooping him up out of Lip’s arms. “It’s bath time, mister man! The grownups are talking…”
Lip gestures towards the backdoor, which Mickey is well aware leads to the garage
“Care to step into my office?”

“Jesus, Ian, are you okay?” Mickey’s voice came through hushed, but desperate. He was clearly making his way out of class to take the call.
Ian gulped. “I…I…Mick—I…”
“Are you okay?” Mickey asked again, a little louder. There was a slight echo. He’d made it out of the class and into the hallway.
“I’m…I…fuck, Mick, I…”
“M’comin’, okay? I’m comin’ home. I’ll be there in five, ten minutes, tops, okay?”OR
