Cage!fic. Post-Swan Song. Stuck in possibly the worst place in creation with only a bitter and angry Michael still wearing Adam for company, Sam decides sticking with Lucifer is better than nothing. But with the memory of being Lucifer's vessel fresh in mind, Sam can't help but contemplate over a few things he learnt while able to see inside the devil's head. As a gradual sense of companionship builds between them, Sam finds that maybe being with Lucifer is more of a comfortable position than he thought.

It's hard to see a man like Butcher walk around as though he's dead where he stands. He may have won against Homelander, but it's almost as if that victory hurt more than it helped. Afterall, life is nothing without something to strive for.
Hughie's found his place at the FBSA and wants to see if he can help Butcher find his place, too. He acquires a broken bone for his efforts.
