Summary
October is upon us again, and this time I'm drawing from the aesthetic of the SCP Foundation: Supernatural phenomena happen all the time, but there's a group that goes out of its way to ensure that the general public doesn't know this.
Original Planned updates: October 1st, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 31st. For the full experience, don't wait too long to read an update. (The fic will still be up come November, but it'll be like watching a recording instead of seeing the live show.)
ETA: Due to writer's block and some other factors, the third part got huge and got split up into several pieces, and only finished on the 30th. I'm working on the forth part, which clearly didn't get completed by Halloween; there's a bit more to go before the fifth part (finale), which I hope will be posted before December (but with enough time between updates to let y'all can stew on the cliffhanger for a while).
This sadly does mess with the timing of two related pieces, but there's nothing I can do about that. Ah well; I tried.

Am I seriously the first to use these characters in friendships on AO3? There are literally only five Ship tags coming up, none of them are & tags, and three of them pair with OMC. (Wait, there's only like 15 fics in this fandom, and half of them are Harry Potter fusion pieces. Guess this fandom could use some expansion!)
Have an actual friendship fic! After Recette clears the shop's massive debt, she gets a bit of a chance to relax and hang out with the adventurers on a more personal level. And Tear can't even complain all that much anymore!

Summary
Fics I wrote back in college (some twenty-odd years ago), which therefore represent a snapshot of what I was like, as a writer and as far as my worldview, back in that era of my life. Hint: Twenty years brings a lot of changes!
I've edited out the most cringe-worthy portions, and fixed up some amount of the mechanics and sentence structures, but, for the most part, I didn't try to polish these; it'd defeat the purpose.

Summary
My fics establishing the new "FMI" or "FMNI" format, which explores five distinct versions of nonsexual intimacy:
1. Physical Intimacy (grooming, touch, sensuality, nudity, first aid or medical care)
2. Emotional Intimacy (sharing the same strong emotion, or having one character go through emotions while the other comforts them)
3. Experiential Intimacy (letting your hair down together, sharing an experience)
4. Secret Sharing (opening up to someone about a hidden part of yourself, something you don't want to share with everyone)
5. Vulnerability (allowing someone to help you, or to observe you in a time of weakness or distress, or learn something they could use against you; opening up about the things you care about or your creative endeavors that are dear to your heart)If you'd like to make a fic in this format, go right ahead! I'm hoping to spearhead a whole new genre, like the 5+1 fics ^_^

Dark Finch, not at his darkest but certainly close to his finest. Almost like Unconditional Surrender if Finch really had waited for the team to grab him... but with a happier conclusion.
Also, tons of interesting sexuality, but that's secondary.
