There was the impression of a melodic laugh. It made his scalp tingle as a ramp dropped from the Lion's mouth. He hesitated.
"We have much to do my dear. Come along now," the voice was reassuring. It reminded him in a way of his older sister.
Lance found he wasn't afraid as he took a tentative step onto the ramp before jogging the rest of the way up. The cockpit of the Blue Lion was instantly familiar but new. As he sat he could see the consoles beginning to hum to life. He thought he could hear a purr rumble in his mind as the seat started forward suddenly.
Surprisingly, he could read the consoles.
"How did thi-?" he questioned as he heard the others beginning to file in.
"Are you ready cub?" the voice was ageless. She sounded at once ancient and full of knowledge as well as innocent and playful. Once he was sure everyone was inside he reached for the controls with a smirk.
"Let's try this."

"He couldn't back down from this. He was Roy Mustang god damn it. The Flame Alchemist. He could handle this."
Will Roy be able to handle the heat?
Two bots struggling to have basic interactions with one another are interrupted when a glitched human comes to the bar.
"Goodnight Shiro," Keith mumbled nestling closer to Shiro's side.
It was a simple exchange. One they'd picked up back on Earth before they were ever together. Shiro had started it as part of a "daily check-in" that he'd started doing after Keith's third fight with the other cadets. He would call or stop over to see the younger man and ask about his day. Whether or not it was actually near the time either of them went to bed that was always was Shiro would say before leaving or hanging up. He'd wondered why at first even going so far as to comment that it was only seven o'clock one time.
"In my family, it always helped me sleep knowing I'd told everyone goodnight," Shiro had said with a shrug.
After that Keith found himself starting the exchange more and more until it was more normal to hear him start their goodbyes than Shiro. At the time, he'd thought it was the least he could do for how much the other went out of his way for him.

Hizashi was staring at him. “Did you know about this and not tell me?” Yamada asked, his voice cracking. “Like, did he tell you before we left? Because I’m so jealous it is not even funny. You’re going to get to guide All Might all by yourself for weeks and hear all his stories and you did not fucking tell me?!”
Shōta went back to the kitchen and got his beer. He drank the other half of it, because he did not know what to do. He came back to his bedroom, leaned against the door jamb, and looked Hizashi directly in the eyes. “Hizashi,” he said, completely serious, “I have never been more confused about a damn thing in my entire life, and this is including the fact that somehow you are my best friend.”

“What are you doing here?” Aizawa asks, very softly.
“I just. . . I don’t know.” He squinches his eyes shut harder, still feeling the deadweight of him in his arms. “I guess I wanted some quiet too.”
There is silence for a long, long moment. Stupidly, he is afraid to open his eyes.
Then, a rustling of clothing and the feeling of a warm shoulder pressed up against his. He waits, heart beating foolishly, irrationally, in his throat, until he hears soft, regular breathing beside him. He opens his eyes.
The relaxed, warm weight of Aizawa just barely leaning on his shoulder as he sleeps is far more welcome than the memories clouding his head.
Yagi closes his eyes again and allows himself to sleep.
