    Summary

The problem with void is that if she sits down and that always seemed stupid to her. As it was possible that something that by definition was absence, she felt so present in her chest. She had felt void before; with Jeanine, leaving Vanessa, with her father, he had felt it that afternoon leaving New Amsterdam, he felt it with Reynolds, he even appeared before her that night with Ligon and her confession. She had felt it so many times that she had hoped at this point it would be familiar and therefore controllable.
