We haven’t been close in a while. We haven’t even spoken in… years.
Tommy and I found a place for ourselves, on a server created by a minor demigod and his vassal.
We created our own place, a community for ourselves. Just like you and Phil did, years ago when you left. Our place has been taken from us now. A tyrant has come to rule it, exiling us from our own home.
We need you, Techno. We need help.
Please. For your brothers.
(Or; When Wilbur sends Technoblade a plea for help, he sends it too late for it to be of any use. Two months later, Technoblade arrives at the Dream SMP and comes upon a bloody revolution being fought with no resources and little chance of success. It only gets worse from there.)

"Arrogance and fear still keep you from learning the simplest and most significant lesson of all." Her eyes bore themselves into Stephen's own, looking so far into him that he was sure he was laid bare beneath her under the slowly descending rain of the astral plane.
Unable to stop himself, Stephen swallowed, staring back at the Ancient One and yet seeing not even half of what she saw in him. "Which is?"
Her smile creeped into existence, looking serene and regal and mysterious, and not for the first time Stephen wondered how truly old she was to have such age etched into her features. Still, he listened, and her words reached within him, made from the inner reaches of the soul and twisting him into the makings of destiny.
"Its not about you."
The woman gave him a funny look, obviously amused that this was what she was flagged down for. “That musta been quite the shipwreck to need the date, kid.” Law gave the woman a sour look, which she rolled her eyes at. Kids these days were so demanding.
“August 16th, 1491.”
Law had never felt so close to tossing himself into the sea as this moment.
He had thought it was the end of the line for him. He was dead on the battlefield, and for some odd reason, he couldn’t find it in himself to regret.
He expects to fade into nothingness, to see darkness and then feel nothing but an eternal abyss. He supposed that maybe he would see Corazon in the afterlife, if such a thing existed, but even as he took his final breath he was skeptical.
Still, he didn’t expect the sensation of drowning. Nor did he expect the bright light that followed to cause him to gasp and sob for breath.

Vinegar Doppio felt the world slip from his grasp. He felt his - Buccellati's - fingers lose what little feeling they had left. Doppio felt alone, too. He had never quite felt as lonely as this before. Incomplete, like a piece of him was missing and refused to come back. It was such a tremendous feeling of nothing in the center of his chest which rang throughout his - Buccellati's - body. He knew the Boss would win. He just hoped when he did, he could once again call him, like he always did. He hoped the Boss came back soon.
(Ring, ring, ring.)
Vinegar Doppio bolts upright, grasping at his own chest as he struggles to breath correctly. Doppio clawed at his breast, digging his nails into his flesh, while black dotted his vision and blurred everything together. His breathing was chaotic, fast and shallow and entirely erratic. The ringing barely registered in Doppio’s fragile state, barely breaking through his mad ravings as he struggled to stay grounded in reality. Why was he alive?
If Doppio had stopped to look, not being too distracted by his panic, he would have seen it.
