This chapter has lots of awkward angel interaction including a disastrous trip to the zoo and Jack's discovery of Angel Radio. It's fun and absurd.

"Castiel?" Sam calls out, carefully. Both of them lower their guns but don’t put them away, yet: there’s no sign of a struggle, but the guy did just break out of an insane asylum by squishing an orderly. With a bureau that he shouldn't have been able to move. "We're not gonna hurt you. We're here to help. My name is Sam. This is my brother, Dean."
There's a loud silence. Dean can hear the wind rustling through the structure.
A deep voice suddenly speaks up. It’s coarse and raspy and sounds like it hurts coming out; he’s never heard anything like it. It sends shivers down Dean's spine.
"Dean?” the man asks. “Dean Winchester?"

As he tries to put the pieces of himself back together with help from Sam and Dean, he comes to realize that memory is a double-edged sword, and blessings can look and act a lot like curses. Reclaiming all of his lost pieces is going to take more than courage. It will force him to admit truths he’s avoided for far too long, and ask for the one thing he’s certain he can’t have.

Summary
In the aftermath of Chuck's defeat, Team Free Will tries to find a path forward. Dean has one goal. To get Cas back. Sam works to organize the remainder of the hunter network while trying to take care of the brother who has always taken care of him. Jack is discovering he has inherited a mess. Heaven, Hell, Purgatory and The Empty are in chaos, but their respective leaders aren't exactly on the best terms.
This is a fix-it fic that has taken on a life of its own. The story will include trips to Purgatory and Hell and will feature writer-indulgent cameos from old favorites. I have tagged the ones I know are coming. I will update as I go.
Mostly canon compliant through 15x19. Finale? Never heard of her.

Summary
It ends, not with a bang, but with a whimper. With a quiet declaration of love before Castiel is taken by the Empty trapped and alone for all eternity. Gabriel falls to his knees like he’s been gut-punched.
‘…Why are you showing me this?’ Gabe asks, and Zach snickers with amusement.
‘Because I wanted to,’ he says. ‘Because you can’t interfere.’Gabriel’s head snaps up, and there’s a dangerous glint in his eye.
Don’t interfere?
Like hell he won’t.

Set immediately after Swan Song, Gabriel gets a glimpse into the future and decides to fix a few things, like the part where the Winchesters get his baby brother killed again and again, before Cas finally gets trapped in the empty. Meanwhile, as Gabe and Cas settle into their apple pie life, Dean is wrenched out of his by a brother who is decidedly not dead, but definitely a little off. For once, Dean doesn't have the answers.
...But maybe a newly human angel of the lord (or two) can help with that part.
