Qrow will die aged 40 if he doesn't find his soulmate, whose location is indicated by the stars.
He eventually embarks on the journey, supported by the nieces and adopted other kids.
When Clover appears, it hits him in an instant.
They have a serious conversation. Qrow by this point is emaciated and weak, and Clover is a little cross because Qrow took it upon himself to not look for him until it was almost too late.
They all travel together back to Patch. Qrow slowly regains his strength, and finally, all is well. -

[In which Clover becomes a prince, gets cursed, falls in love, invents a new fishing technique, falls in love again, and lives happily ever after. I decided to write for Fair Game Week 2021 as One Big Fic, and I also decided that since I had done bird-Qrow, that we also needed more bird-Clover. Bird husbands!]

Wonderful fairy tale where Clover is "cursed" into a kingfisher, Qrow is tasked with finding him and finally does. They bond as birds and live as bird husbands for a while, before returning to civilisation.
And then Clover proposes and Qrow says yes. -

Pretty explicit but not at all gratuitous.
Qrow and Clover are separated by work yet want to keep their relationship alive. They manage this with video calls where they have sex together.
This maintains their feelings of closeness until they can be together again.
