Gen doesn't use it in a practical sense, but he's a psychologist no matter what anyone says about his degree. The very concept of artificial intelligence is messy, bringing up some of the worst of humanity. They weren't even considered proper citizens in most countries, tethered to the will of their owners like property. But they were also feared, in a sense, by people who believed giving a robot any type of higher intelligence was a form of playing God.
And now there's one in my home.

It made sense that humans feared, evaded, and even shunned the unknown.
"Unknown" was a word that spoke for itself. Unknown. An ally of light or darkness. A blessing or a curse. A step forward or a pull back. A breather of life or a bringer of death. Most of humanity preferred to remain blind to the soothing whispers of the unknown, if only to shield one's self from its blood-curdling shrieks. But Senku . . .
Senku refused to put his faith into an unknown. Why should he, if every unknown can be known with evidence and proof?
What a shame, really, that humanity decided to throw scientific progress into the unforgiving scope of the word.
A SenGen Fantasy AU where magic, science, and ignorance coexist in a world where the latter reigned supreme, the middle remained misunderstood, and the former stood condemned by humanity.
