“I missed you,” they blurted out instead, surprising both Jiang Cheng and themself.
The surprise in Jiang Cheng’s gaze made way for something else after a few moments of silence.
“I’m really happy to see you again,” Jingyi added, not sure if they were even intelligible with the way their scarf muffled their words. But it didn’t matter if the way Jiang Cheng looked at them was anything to go by.
