    Summary

Lexa was a witch. A real witch with magic flowing through her veins, yet she never told a soul that fact. Still, townsfolk showed up on her doorstep after dark, begging for a spell or potion, and Lexa was more than happy to lend a neighborly hand. As long as the request didn't fall outside her moral boundaries. Hexes, curses, love potions and spells. That's where Lexa drew the line.

Clarke was a baker who just opened shop in the small Massachusettes town. Everyone warned her about a certain, very beautiful, frequent customer. They would tell her how scary and dangerous Lexa Woods was.

But sometimes magic was a fickle little thing, and when she made up her mind, it was usually pretty futile to fight it.

    Summary

When she does turn around, Lexa finds none other than Clarke Griffin, looking at her with her eyebrows drawn together in a worried frown, “Is everything okay?”

Narrowing her eyes, half waiting for her to start mocking her like the majority of the room seem to be doing right now, Lexa answers through gritted teeth, “Everything is fine.”

“Okay, good,” Clarke nods, apparently not discouraged in the least by her tone. She simply shrugs and takes a sip from her mug before settling it on the counter, cupping it in between her palms. “I’ve been here for almost a year and I haven’t seen you be anything if not punctual so I thought I’d ask.”

“I’m fine. I overslept, that’s all,” Lexa says in a curt tone, because she’s really not in the mood to talk about it. Lexa takes another sip from her coffee before meeting Clarke’s gaze again, her voice a little softer this time, “Thank you. For covering for me.”

    Summary

The mountain will haunt her for the rest of this life, but when she watches Pike’s men rip into the charred human flesh – crispy and blackened on the outside but still bloody enough inside to leave a trail down their chins – she knows that this vision will follow her well into the next one.

“Pack what supplies you’ll need, and meet me at the edge of the trees.” She pockets another dagger and heads for the tent’s opening, but then she pauses and spares Clarke a half-glance over her shoulder. “I don’t want to be forced to leave without you, Clarke. Even I know that would be foolish.”

Clarke and Lexa go hunting post-2x10. Danger and injury ensue, but first they talk about yoga.

    Summary

“I didn’t say ‘we,’” Clarke replies.

“I did. Sacrifice is one thing, Clarke, but a foolish suicide mission is another. We will do this together.”

“Is it because we kissed?” Clarke asks, keeping her voice low. “Is that why—?”

“It’s not about that,” she interrupts gently. “Clarke, when that animal attacked and entrapped us in its feeding ground, you were the one who got us out of there alive even when I was ready for death.” She takes a half-step closer and tries not to let her focus stray from Clarke’s eyes. “No matter what happens in there,” she declares, “I will get you out of Mount Weather alive.”

(Cage gives them an offer they can't afford to refuse, and the result is a consequence Lexa never saw coming. Canon up to 2x14. Title from "Get Home" by Bastille. Three parts.)
