It’s almost the end of the world, Beau thinks as she holds her nearly-fatal wound, just barely healed after the last fight, and makes her way down to where Obann, the Inevitable End, and Nott await them. The final battle? Just maybe. Beau muses this as she waits with the others before they make their move, no doubt the same though running through their heads as well.
It’s almost the end of the world and here she is, jealous. Jealous of the way Jester quitely begs Fjord not to die.

"Professor?” Edelgard is flushed as you pull away, nearly as red as her armor that lies discarded on the floor, and her eyes gaze up at you, heavy-lidded and hazy. “Are you all right?”
“I don’t think so,” you reply, calmly. “I think I might be having a heart attack.”
In the flurry of panic that follows for the next several minutes, you learn three things: 1. Small as she is, Edelgard is apparently strong enough to throw you over her shoulder and sprint to the medical wing within seconds, 2. Having Physic cast on you when you’re not actually dying makes you feel very queasy, and 3. You weren't having a heart attack, you were just stupidly in love.

Yelena cracks an eye open and looks over at her. "We live in different worlds, Kate Bishop."
"Not so different that we aren't still sitting in the same dive bar eating the same weird pizza and drinking the same shitty beer," Kate mumbles, and Yelena laughs. It's a genuine sound, bright and almost shocking for how carefree it sounds. When she finally stops laughing, she grabs the last slice of pizza and tears it in two. She slides half of it over to Kate and nods as she takes a bite of her own piece.
"That is true, Kate Bishop. That is true."

Clint is convinced Kate and Yelena are dating, Kate is determined to prove that he's wrong, and she and Yelena are both maybe in denial about the fact that they might be more than just Very Good Friends.
