Summary
Hounded by every unattached individual in Ishgard, both noble and common alike, the warrior of light is quite fed up with her circumstance. Granted a chance to dissuade the lot at one of the never-ending balls of celebration, she throws herself on Ser Aymeric's mercy. By having him playact her paramour, she hopes to deter those ardent admirers nipping at her heels. The crux of the issue lies in the Lord Commander's unvoiced wishes for her attentions, himself. However, faced with the warrior of light's desperation, he swallows his affections and agrees to play the part.
Duty and love conspire to make fools of all involved.
A fantasy Regency Ishgard. -

"Really, that you of all of us would be ignorant of your vessel's traits. I am genuinely surprised you've let it go so long."
"Emet-Selch--" Bristling at the man's mockery, Lahabrea shifts in his chair to face his peer. "What are you not saying."
Irritation gouges holes in the Speaker's composure, stoic resistance discarded in favor of an open frown. At the threshold Emet-Selch lingers, surveying him from head to toe with a smirk.
"Why, I refer to your vessel's mating cycle, dear Speaker. You fairly reek of repressed arousal."
Blinking owlishly, Lahabrea stares at his cohort.
"Mating cycle?"

Chapter 4: The Lions' Den
Raubahn remains silent for a few moments, flipping through a few of the papers on the table. A dry laugh passes his lips, along with him mumbling something that sounds like “If only I had known…”
