And then there was light and darkness.
Once upon a time somewhere deep down the pits of hell, among the forever restless souls of sinners, there was a demon with a whip made of poisonous spikes with which he taunted hollow shells of what once were humans.
The demon, once an angel, told stories of a quarrel with his master, who in turn lowered his rank and damned him to the third circle of hell.
He was cursed to live in the flames of Jahannam and with time the heavenly sphere he had called his home turned into a distant memory.
Once upon a time there was an angel with a voice as clear as the sound of Tibetan singing bowls and a smile that gave even the cursed hope.
This isn't a love story. This is merely the tale of something as old as time.
An angel, a demon, one bet and two mortals.
„No, I'm making an offer. A deal.“
„A deal?“ Jungwoo raised one eyebrow.
„Let me live here and I’ll get Kun to like you.“
The confidence in Lucas’ voice made the older laugh involuntarily.
„You've clearly watched too many teenage movies, Lucas.“
„Is that a no?“
Jungwoo shook his head, puzzlement on his face. „That's a 'this isn't Mean Girls or 10 things I hate about you'? All of this, your whole situation, it’s too serious to be joked-“
Lucas interrupted him, „Yes or no?“
„You gonna... make him fall for me? God, that sounds so cringey. This is stupid, isn’t it?“ Jungwoo was saying that, yet the sparkle of hope in his chest betrayed him.
Lucas nodded, biting his lips again. „I'll make you meet 'coincidentally'. I'll tell him nice stuff about you. Like a wingman, but large scale.“ Comparable to an excited child he beamed at the other, waiting for praise.
„And in return? What exactly do you expect from me?“ Jungwoo wanted to know, still on guard.
„These blankets and this spot on the floor till I figure out where to stay.“
Jungwoo thought about it. „A few days at most?“
„Less,“ Lucas said.
On a beautiful autumn night two planets encountered each other. At the same time, just a universe away, two asteroids met, their fates intertwining. Apartment building 13430 connected countless souls over its infinite life span, but that night was a spectacle for every observer.
"What the fuck, Cas." He felt like smashing the door close but he didn't do it. "We talked about this."
Lucas was wasted. With a bottle of Jack Daniel's in his hand, stumbling over his own feet and barely able to greet Jungwoo properly, he was standing there, wordlessly asking to be let in.
"I missed you."
